PMJ visited a village near Malawi to support a maize Pap feeding programme.
He then travelled to Zambia to visit Shine, a charity which aims to eliminate illiteracy among poor and vulnerable children. Shine was set up by the uncle of two former pupils and is fabulously supported by the second hand uniform shop.
PMJ's trip ended in Port Elizabeth in South Africa with a visit to Heatherbank School. Holmewood's uniform shop has supported the school to provide a library, ICT area, playing fields and poly tunnels. Old Holmewoodian Christian Levack raised money for Heatherbank's games shed by climbing Mount Snowdon.
See below for a short documentary of the trip.
